Based on data from the 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey of Socio-Cultural and Education Modules (Susenas MSBP) in the BPS report entitled Education Support Statistics 2024, in the 2023/2024 academic year (FY), the average total cost of education at the high school / vocational / equivalent level reached Rp10.19 million per student. This figure increased by 30.64% when compared to the 2020/2021 school year which amounted to IDR 7.8 million.
Based on the region, Papua is the province with the highest average cost of high school / vocational / equivalent education in Indonesia.
