Based on a report from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the value of online lending (pinjol) from fintech lending amounted to Rp29.62 trillion in August 2025. This figure increased by 1.82% compared to the previous month, which amounted to Rp29.09 trillion. The value of fintech lending also increased by 7.94% compared to the previous year. In August 2024, the total value of fintech lending disbursements was IDR 27.44 trillion.

By province, West Java received the highest amount of pinjol disbursements in August 2025, namely IDR 7.68 trillion. Jakarta ranked second with a value of IDR 4.56 trillion.

The following is a list of the 8 provinces that received the most online loans in Indonesia (August 2025):

1. West Java – 7,681.71 billion
2. Jakarta – 4,556.51 billion
3. East Java – 3,658.3 billion
4. Central Java – 2,577.79 billion
5. Banten – 2,295.58 billion
6. North Sumatra – 1,072.27 billion
7. Bali – 664.06 billion
8. South Sulawesi – 654.6 billion
