Forbes magazine regularly releases its list of the world's richest people, a compendium that always attracts attention and provides a snapshot of the dynamics of global wealth. While the list fluctuates every year due to changes in asset values and market conditions, we can see who consistently tops the list based on the latest data released by Forbes.
Elon Musk still ranks first on the list of the richest people in the world today. Based on the Forbes Real Time Billionaires page, the wealth of the SpaceX and Tesla founder reached US$422.7 billion or equivalent to Rp6,904.1 trillion (exchange rate of Rp16,333/US$) on June 2, 2025 at 08.15 WIB.
The second richest person in the world is the founder and CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg with a wealth of US$223.6 billion or Rp3,652.2 trillion. He managed to overtake Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was in second place earlier this month.
Jeff Bezos dropped to third place with a fortune of US$220.3 billion or Rp3,598.3 trillion. The founder of e-commerce giant Amazon remains one of the richest people in the world despite stepping down from the CEO position. His wealth comes largely from his stake in Amazon, which continues to dominate the online shopping and cloud services (AWS) markets.
Then, the wealth of the co-founder of software company Oracle Corporation, Larry Ellison, amounted to US$206.2 billion or Rp3,598.3 trillion. Although he is no longer the CEO, he still holds a significant and influential stake in the company.
Nicknamed the "Oracle of Omaha," Warren Buffett is one of the most successful investors of all time. Through Berkshire Hathaway, he invests in various public and private companies, demonstrating his legendary long-term value investing approach. Warren Buffett is worth US$157.5 billion or Rp2,572.5 trillion.
Then, the wealth of the CEO of the world-renowned fashion company LVMH (Louis Vuitton-Moët-Hennessy), Bernard Arnault and his family is US$143.6 billion or Rp2,345.5 trillion. Bernard Arnault is known as the CEO and Chairman of LVMH, the world's largest luxury goods conglomerate. The company owns dozens of well-known brands in various sectors, from fashion (Louis Vuitton, Dior), jewelry (Tiffany & Co., Bulgari), to alcoholic beverages (Moët & Hennesy).
Google search engine co-founder Larry Page is in 7th place on this list with a fortune of US$142.4 billion or Rp2,325.8 trillion.
Meanwhile, the wealth of Larry Page's coworker, Sergey Brin, occupies the eighth position with a value of US$136.2 billion or Rp2,224.6 trillion.
